The reason we do our job so well is down to our team members. Their wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge means that they can take on many of the challenges associated with this kind of transportation with ease. In fact, they enjoy finding solutions to even the more unusual problems and requirements!
Darrin Pickering – Managing Director
Darrin has been in road haulage for most of his working life, from being a driver to running his own business. He is now in overall charge of both the transport and vehicle repairs arms of the business. Darrin often works in the transport office alongside Scott, where they both manage traffic flows and talk to customers about their transport needs. Together, they also arrange vehicle loads for collection and delivery, monitor the progress of the transporters in reaching their collection and delivery points and generally make sure everything is operating smoothly and within agreed timescales.
Scott McDonald – Transport Manager
Scott manages the transport side of the business and looks after much of the regulatory admin that goes with running a transport operation. As he’s in the transport office most often, you’ll probably speak to him when you ring up to arrange vehicle movements. It’s a demanding role and not without challenges – but Scott keeps a cool head whatever is thrown at him.
Adam Pickering – Workshop Manager
On the vehicle repairs side of the business, Adam Pickering is our workshop manager. Adam heads up a team of six fitters. The team of six ranges from professionals with many years of experience in working on trucks and transporters to a time-served apprentice who has developed his knowledge through working for the company. Our trusted workshop team services our own transporters, keeping them roadworthy and in tip-top condition. They also undertake repairs and maintenance for several customers, particularly those with car transporter fleets.
Natasha Pickering – Office Manager
Natasha is the office manager and company secretary, so she is responsible for the running of the office and maintaining the company’s statutory obligations.
Kate Marshall – Assistant Accountant
Kate’s role sees her looking after much of the day-to-day financial side of the business, issuing invoices for work done and making sure they all get paid! She also deals with paying suppliers, monitoring fuel usage, monitoring cash flow and many of the other tasks that crop up daily. She also deals with telephone and email inquiries from our customers. It’s a busy role but she’s known for being an expert plate-spinner when the office gets hectic.
Richard Foster – Director
Richard comes from a strong financial background and has worked closely with Darrin for nearly 20 years. Richard oversees much of the financial side of the business but as is often the case with smaller, family-run companies, he also works alongside Darrin in other areas of the business.
Our Drivers
Our drivers have accumulated a staggering amount of knowledge and experience in the specialist field of moving caravans and motorhomes over many years. They perform a terrific job getting customers’ vehicles from A to B and are always willing to go that extra mile to keep our customers happy.
